Fix the resolution!

For a gold edition, I cannot understand why they didn't give it a higher possible resolution than 1024. I'm not asking for a big game changing update, just that they fix the resolution, it would make this game way more fun for everyone!

You can change the resolution by editing the config file in your documents folder.

I'll have to check that out. I really think they should go back and add widescreen support to this game. They are still generating revenue from it so I think updating it would be the right thing to do.

Indeed, but when people get informed that it doesn't have a widescreen, a lot of the people won't buy it,... And if I knew that earlier I wouldn't have bought it, but I'm not here to complain about that, but if they added that, they would actually get complimented by everyone for offering great customer service, updating an old game with a widescreen etc. unlike other companies who let some good games die +-.

So adding widescreen support to this game, would increase the current sales and make a lot of customers happy, because it would be a sign of not forgetting an older game and something like that would deserve respect.

I really don't expect it - there's plenty of games on here with no widescreen support, but the people behind the scenes are still there supporting it and even making new entries in the series. All the pieces are still in place so I guess there's a tiny bit of hope.

chances are good since the developer said they might do it. compared to the other games with support behind the scenes not saying that.

where is the document folder?
programm-steam-steam apps-common-spellforce2 gold edition
no documents folder there

I was looking at this since it's currently on sale at another site. THe complete package which would include SpellForce 1 and SpellForce 2 with all the add ons. But this has stopped me from purchasing since changing the resolution in the documents folder is probably nothing more than just streching images.

This is some of the command fix for Spellforce Gold, sadly there is a bug on the game better is to play original version on the first campaing The Order of Dawn.

Config the file as a txt file with your notepad:
C:\Users\user\Documents\SpellForce2\config.xml
change the value inside when you find them
screenheight="1080" screenwidth="1920" or anything that suit your monitor.

FOV Update:
2. Start a game, then bring the console by pressing Ctrl + ] and type:

UI:SetCameraFOV(0.94) for 16:10
UI:SetCameraFOV(1.027) for 16:9 I use 1.5 is far better ^_^

Cheat code for console:
LogSender:GiveGood(###) Gives ### of all goods
LogSender:AddMoney(###) Gives player ### gold to buy items.
LogSender:GodMode(1) Invincible
LogSender:NoManaUsage(1) Spells or Abilities can be used again and again.
