are you using windows 11? has the game been patched lately? or did you do some file editing or some weird workaround yourself to get it to run?

i am on win 11, intel arc a530m, and no it just launched like normal

yes laptop, i could test it on my desktop but i will only be at home next week.

nope, hit play, steam asks to allow to make changes, hit yes, synchronizes and play button goes green again

it's allright it isn't for me
since a lot of other stuff still works, it is a windows 11 or more so spellforce 2 problem, i'm not using a workaround, when the game should just get patched to work (probably wont happen tho)
just asking if anyone knows if there might be a patch coming to fix it

a patch isnt coming anytime soon as the game itself is currently nothing short of a glorified abandonware due to the messed up sneaky licencing scheme dressed up as the so called anniversary edition by the ever shapeshifting nordic games

However, have you actually tried applying the community patch made by NeoX? Or maybe just revert back to Gold Edition as it works perfectly fine for me on Win11 with simple config.xml edit.
