SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition

First expansion.
I'll try to be short. I've beat the first SF 2 on hardest difficult with a hybrid build, basically the best survivable defense (armor) with some specializated magic field, for instance a paladin, full plate + healing magic, and it was VERY effective.

Then I started to play the first expansion, doing some investments on that dragonblood line tree, the problem is... It's too freaking weak... I've reached a point when I couldn't kill fast enough and eventually I got overhelmed, thus losing the game. I was stuck in one of the missions not far from the ending...

So my question is... Does the dragonblood tree worth the full investment or I am missing something?
By the way, I only play on the hardest difficult.

Short answer: no. Dragonblood is just a funny mixture of everything (but it doesnt reach anytime the effectivness of the old skilltrees).

Alright, I though it was only me.

Hmmm, I'm going to play SF 2 once again, going to finish the dragon storm which I haven't yet on very hard difficult.

Well, since there's a couple of years since the last time I had played, could anybody help on this build? In the shadow wars, I had made a paladin, this time I want to make something different.

I though on a black/fallen knight:

Combat 3.
Heavy combat 3.
Heavy armor 3.
Plate or Chain mail 3. (Probabbly chain, cuz black magic uses a lot more mana than white.)
Magic 3.
Divine 3.
Black Magic 3.
Necromancy 3.

Total 24 points, so if I remember correctly, I still have 5 points left.
Problem is, Tower shield, heavy weapons and demonology sounds all cool... The choices are weapons 3 vs Demonolgy 3, or tower shield 2 vs demonolgy 2. Tower shield 2 seemes a solid overall choice, due it's extra mana rege plus effects, but as far as I remember weapons are required for certain high level equipments, so they're a kind must have... But demonolgy seems to be so cool. =/

Additionaly I could make an archer with demonolgy that theorically would be the most optimal result.

Hell caller:

Magic 3.
Divine 3.
Black Magic 3.
Demonology 3.
Combat 3
Light combat 3
Ranged combat 3

Then come the choices...

Longbow 3 + Death 3 + whatever 2. or Recurve bow 3 + Heavy combat 3 + Heavy armor 2.

Of course there is many other options, but I want one of those really.

Also another question, say I want to make a summoner, can I summon a demon with demonolgy and a companion from the dragonblood path at same time? Or does the demon counts as a companion as well?
