No online play?

I can't get online play. I make a name and p/w and use my email. It just tries and says "Error (1)" What does that mean? I tried using my other email but that didnt work. Can anyone help?

Edit, it says "Failed (Code:1)"

Online was turned of with this game a long time ago if I am not mistaken before Nordic bought the franchise from Jowood the ones who finished of SpellForce 2: Faith in Destiny
Before going on to create SpellForce 2 - Demons of the Past What I believe still has multiplayer working and has all the past maps up to that point taken from every Spellforce 2 game and add on if I am not mistaken for the muitplayer side of it etc.
But you can still play online with this current title if you use Hamachi or a program similar with a friend or find a group who still use it etc

Can I use the "Invite to game" option from steam?

No as this only Works for Games running on the Steam Servers. The Masterserver of this Game was turned off long ago so u cant find other ppl. The last add on (Demons of the Past) works though in MP.
