[SOLVED] Game does not start, crash on start.

if it won't start, disable sync with steam cloud and then delete config.xml in your documents-SF2 folder.

No sorry, I suggest you search the forums here and google it. perhaps you can put it in compability mode ? and also read on GOG what people have writtent here about it.

The game will tell you, that this file is not the same on you PC as in Steam Cloud. Change the PC file. Then in game can you change to you usual screensize.

the problem seems to stem from usage of GPU ressources, even if your hardware supports it. too high settings for anti-aliasing combined with too high resolution causes crashes. other settings didn't seem to affect this issue. these settings worked for me:
1920x1080, anti-aliasing max (200%), anisotripic 8x
2560x1440, anti-aliasing high (150%), anisotripic 8x
3840x2160, anti-aliasing low (only FXAA), anisotripic 8x

Thank you!! After numerous possibilities I have tried this solution has now helped! The problem that prevented the game from starting was the hardware patch created by NeoX. Strange, for some the hardware patch seems to fix problems and for others it does the complete opposite. Anyway, thanks again!
