SpellForce 2 windows 10!!!

Spellforce 2 don't work in windows 10? have you got same problem? How do that spellforce 2 work on windows 10?

It's ok, you must install DirectX 9.0c (June) and it is work on 64bits windows 10

Systemrequirements told me Win 10 32 and 64bit; here we go: Starting the Game ends in an visual c++ runtime error.. erm? AMD FX6200 NVIDIA GTX750 16GIG RAM and finaly WIN10 64bit

WTF, Leveling is slow.
No it isnt.
In the story you level fast and the level means how far you in the game and when you meet the endboss. Level 30 means that you likely near the end.
Do sidequest, they are fun and if you pick them up at the moment they are activ you dont need to backtrack(most of the quest).

Free Game,
If it is too slow play the Dragon Storm Free Game, instant level 15 and no problemos for the first main quest's.

And you ONLY level by killing special mobs[from a quest,some kind of "mini-boss") or finishing quests.

And Win10 works fine, but one main-quest in ShadowWar has a softlock[Tuscari, just dont kill the light-whatever, than you will be fine], when you teleport to other Ilands sometimes a graphic error appears and it looks like u on drugs[safe than shut down the game and go back in fixes it] only ShadowWar.And in ShadowDragon safe EVERYTIME befor you go through a portal cuz your game can crash[not fun at all].

Yep, Win 10's fine - so far so good. Once I added the 'safe program' exception to BitDefender which was blocking execution & throwing a 'run time terminate' error, started up and ran fine. But at times, using the 'Escape' key will cause a hang or crash.
- Defintely start by deleting the config.xml file in your Documents/SpellForce folder, and I am running with 'sync to steam cloud' OFF for now.

Blast from the past game, but actually pretty good. Had fun with it 8 years ago as well.

Is it normal when sometimes after a cutscene an error message comes and your game suddendly on drugs is?
And aftter using a portal the game suddenly shuts down[only DragonStorm-Campain]?

Once I set Bitdefender to see the spellforce2.exe as a 'safe file' was able to start & play. Make sure your virus / malware scanner is not stopping the .exe from starting. The problem is there's still crashing - D3D errors or switching platform errors often when trying to travel through portals.

I'm not using any compatability mode & am running Win10 64bit. Just F9 - Quick save a lot, exit and start again. Pain in the butt, but it is an older game.

Firstly go back into the properties of the application ( exe) if you have changed any of the startup options... Nothing but what is mentioned below is necessary... so no compatibility options like windows 7 sp2 etc is required and the below method wont work if youve change that... so revert it.

Goto Documents, inside your spellforce 2 Folder you will find a config file all on its lonesome. Right click it and open with wordpad. This is what you are looking for ....screenheight="1080" screenwidth="1920" I set that to reflect my screen resolution. If you are unsure of your screen resolution right click on the desktop and goto display settings.
Save the fie and close it. Start up steam and then start Spellforce 2. Enjoy.

I know that its old, I own the CD's (but they dont work on this PC, thats why I bought it on steam).
The bug with the graphic goes on drugs can be solve by exit and enter the campain[when its still activ, yeah than I need to exit the game, sadly).

I still love to play this game, I dont hate the bugs[the portal one made me quit for an day or so cuz I forgot 3 times to safe befor enter one and you know where the autosafe safes).
Hope they make a 4th game with the same style
