Spellforce 2 Anniversary Edition Crashes

Spellforce 2 Anniversary Edition Crashes when loading Needle from SevenKeeps. After I rescue Nightsong I go east into the Needle portal. About Halfway through loading the game crashes without any error. I can sometimes get it to load and get through the cut scene if i restart the game. But if this happens the terrian from the map does not load only objects (characters and trees)...Any help is welcome. My PC is not the limiting factor, GTX 1060.

Here's what worked for me:

Graphical glitches (missing textures, etc.): quit to main menu, reload save game. This seems to happen with increasing frequency, but can be "reset" by closing the game, then reload game & reload save game.

Crash when loading Seven Keeps level: restart PC (don't know why, but worked fine first try for me after restart).

yeh i eventually got it to load correctly after restarting my PC. Must have been a bad memory cache

the problem seems to stem from usage of GPU ressources, even if your hardware supports it. too high settings for anti-aliasing combined with too high resolution causes crashes. other settings didn't seem to affect this issue. these settings worked for me:
1920x1080, anti-aliasing max (200%), anisotripic 8x
2560x1440, anti-aliasing high (150%), anisotripic 8x
3840x2160, anti-aliasing low (only FXAA), anisotripic 8x
