Breath Of Winter Campaign -Avatar Build Help
I found a nice Order of the dawn guide which told me the best armor/weapons and how to make my char as a result. Basically level light armor to 8 so i can get good weapons and armor then focus on magic if I went to use that as a primary skill. Any more than 8 and i can't get top level magic abailities, any less and I cannot use the Shadow Armor.

Unfortunately when I went into the Breath of Winter campaign there does not seem to be a good guide around that tells me how to best allocate my skill points. For instance, are there new spells, new armor, etc.? What are the qualifcations for getting the good armor, that sort of thing.

Does anyone know of a really guide with some good infomration like that? I like to plan my char out in advance which is hard to do if you don't know what gear is available.

Thing is I played Order of the Dawn twice before I got my char right, I kept putting skill points in things I found out later I didn't need. I hate that!!!

Its fun to max out, but I played order of dawn several times and just pick as I go.
I favor light combat, but I always take 1 point in Heave to get Warcry. Then I like to have Ranged so I can use a bow/crossbow to lure enemys to me or soften them up before I charge.

But to answer your question, I havent seen any good building guides sorry.

Go for ranged or magic, because the final boss can only be beaten with ranged combat. As for which of these you choose is really up to you. If you manage to get to level 30 (which can only be achieved in BoW through imo long and dull experience farming), then you will have enough skill and attribute points to go for one general skill branch (e.g. Black magic) and two branches of that branch (e.g. Necromancy and Death) and one additional general skill branch with one branch that has 1 or 2 common attributes (e.g. White magic Boons, which also requires wisdom). You could level all three of these sub-branches to level 12 ( I believe it was 12, correct me if I am wrong), which is the highest possible skill level if you have a lvl 30 character.

Personally, I would strongly recommend bows or crossbows with either light combat arts (daggers, light blunt weapons or light blade weapons and light armour) or a magic type with rather low attribute requirements (like white magic boons and life). I would also recommend a pure mage with preferably elemental magic (fire or ice is best imo) or black magic (death and necromancy I would say, curse is not really that useful) in addition to mental deffensive magic if you plan on playing the Shadow of the Phoenix campaign with your Breath of Winter character, as you can get 'Meditation' in the Shadow of the Phoenix campaign, which essentially gives you a close to infinite mana supply.
