I favor light combat, but I always take 1 point in Heave to get Warcry. Then I like to have Ranged so I can use a bow/crossbow to lure enemys to me or soften them up before I charge.
But to answer your question, I havent seen any good building guides sorry.
Personally, I would strongly recommend bows or crossbows with either light combat arts (daggers, light blunt weapons or light blade weapons and light armour) or a magic type with rather low attribute requirements (like white magic boons and life). I would also recommend a pure mage with preferably elemental magic (fire or ice is best imo) or black magic (death and necromancy I would say, curse is not really that useful) in addition to mental deffensive magic if you plan on playing the Shadow of the Phoenix campaign with your Breath of Winter character, as you can get 'Meditation' in the Shadow of the Phoenix campaign, which essentially gives you a close to infinite mana supply.
