And to be clear, You do NOT need to continue to run Steam or Spellforce as administrator. These steps merely allows for the CD-key to be saved, once and for all. After that is done Steam and the game can be run normally without any administrator rights.
First, make sure your Caps Lock is ON. Second, all the dashes " - ", you need to include them. And third, that 0 you put in might actually have been an O (or vice versa). If it's round and wide it's a letter, narrower and oval it's a number.
You only need to open up the folder SteamApps, then common, then SpellForce Platinum Edition. Right Click the SpellForce Platinum Edition application, select properties. Click on the compatibility tab. Check the "Run This Program As An Administrator" box and click apply.
Then after you writed the CD-Key in game you can Check off the "Run This Program As An Administrator" box. The CD-Key is saved.
