SpellForce: Platinum Edition

SpellForce: Platinum Edition

Spellforce 1 Map Editor
Hello, I downloaded the map editor to try and make some custom maps for fun, and although I can work with the program, I don't know how to add the map files to the game. I tried placing them into the lanfreegame map, but they do not show up in the game's map list. Does anybody know how to make this work?
Thank you in advance.

You need to change the metadata of the map and add the proper player spawns&teams.

Oke, so I've set Spellforce Platinum's version to 1.54 (after which the game started asking for a serial number, which Steam somehow doesn't show anymore in the Library, but some kind person posted his on the Steam forums), set it to run the game as administrator, made sure my Editor version was the most recent, and added team #1 to the Metadata tab's Coop and Multiplayer options. Did some copycatting from a standard Coop map for that. Also added player spawns (which I assume are the bindstones, since these were linked to the team members positions). Changed the Text IDs to 1051-1053 to match the monuments' races next to the bindstones. There is an Exit Portal in the map too. I saved it all, and copied the map file to LanFreeGame in the Map file. Even made sure there weren't any spaces in the map's name. Alas, as of yet my map list remains custom free, and I honestly don't know what my smooth brain is missing here.

It's been over a year already? Dayum. But no, I'm afraid I haven't managed to do it properly myself. But I believe that there are working modding tools via Nexus, if you're interested.

i actually downloaded that version of the editor, and i 'm working on an amd processor ( i read that if it's intel it just doesn't work) also i saw that it is possible, check for the workshop there is a map that has been made and its playable via mod. it's also interesting and it proves that it's possible
Oh I never said it was impossible, just that I didn't manage to figure it out myself. Good luck, and let me know if you manage to get a map working bro

Hey, if I remember correctly you had to have at least one fixed Coop Camp, and a maximum of six. If you go to Entities, Coop Camps and select a coop camp in the list, and write a 1 into Unknown value, that camp is fix. Maybe that's the problem.

Hey, i found a very helpful guy that helped e with it, it worked, i'm currently working ona map and yeah u need for it to appear a bindstone with id of the race u need, metadata teams in proper way, monument, and a coop camp. that's all what's needed to make it go, after many crashes i'm learning the errors to avoid :D
