Stormcleaver Rocks bug - Somehow Skerg Village got wiped out before first talking to Hulu.

Lost a fight against some Kishar and for whatever reason they aggroed on the Skerg village and wiped it out, every npc got killed and the only thing left is a fisher's hut. Game is now broken and there's no old save to undo this.
Is there a way to respawn Hulu via console commands or something like that? Don't want to restart the campaign because of a bug.

That's not far in to the game.
My advice is that you restart, and save more often.
Did you notice that you can control the ones you met in the beginning of the map?
I missed that, and one of them is a healer, keep him alive..
Quicksave is F7 and Quickload F9.

Due to how the game works.

Always do a backup manual save before entering a new map for the first time.
Good idea to do it just before the portal.

Most stuff gets scripted while you enter the map for the first time.

Good idea to have a second manual backup save like every 10 hours or so.

And quick save and load for the general on map play.

In rare cases scripts can go off and might result in a softlock.

Most important NPCs can not die but maybe they did not flag Hulu.......


Thankfully you are very early game so you can just restart.

Yeah, Hulu can die, he normally does after you reach Setrius's camp. The Skerg camp is open so if some units wind up coming close, they can attack, but it happens extremely rarely. You were really unlucky.
