How do I play The Order of Dawn?
I know that this Platinum Edition includes all the first three games, but how do I choose which one to play? Every time I run the game, it automatically takes me to Shadows of The Phoenix. Someone please help me.

As far as I remember, you choose the campaign when you start a new one. This is not 3 games, but 1 main game and 2 expansions, so it should work that way.

On the main menu should be three Campaigns, one with a generic name, then the other two with their expansion names, just use the top one and you should start Order of Dawn, if that is taking you to one of the expansions, it might be worth a reinstall.

Oh I see...

Yes, there are three different campaigns in the main menu. So the first "campaign" is the Order of Dawn, right? The "aryn campaign" is Breath of Winter and "phoenix campaign" is Shadow of the Phoenix?

After finishing the Order of Dawn, which one should I play next? Breath of Winter or Shadow of the Phoenix?

I'm personally just doing them in order, so top and then work down ;)

i think you should go to sotp next, and import the last save from tood,
so you can continue the journey and continue develop your avatar till the end.
then next game start with bow and import that one in sotp, rinse repeat

i mean, just click campaign to play the original game. obviously the campaigns are in the release order on the main page, but even if they weren't you could just google "spellforce order of dawn" and look at the release dates on the wikipedia page and figure out rather quickly what order to play them in.

i have no idea why they didn't just use the actual names in the menu, maybe they were too long or something
Probably because the three games are actually one game plus two expansions, just like Cunin and Tyralias said. The main game doesn't need a title in the main menu, while the expansions do.

i mean at this pont they might as well just merge all of them, but i guess the effort needed to make that work is probably not worth it, considering how old the game is by now

anyway i wish it could've been more consistent at least, i'm not a fan of how they handled the menu
I couldn’t agree more with you. I’m also the type that likes to see something neatly displayed, with things in their proper place.

I actually enjoy playing the game so far (though I have only finished, like, 3 or 4 maps so far).

I have a tip that might be of help. If you got bored playing some kind of a game, trying playing different kind/genre of game. At least that's what I do, since I'm the kind of gamer that easily got bored with just one kind of games. I play games that I feel like playing at the moment.

If you see my library, you will find different kind of games. Sometimes I play adventure games, sometimes racing games, sometimes horror games. But still, this tip might only be suitable for me.

If it doesn't work for you, I don't mean to sound rude but, this game may not be for you. Sometimes something is not for everyone. You're probably more of an RTS gamer than an RPG gamer. There are more RTS games that may be better for you.
