Serial Number Invalid.....

I spent probably a week trying to figure this out and I always encounter the same problem. Serial number is invalid. Now I tried it with the key steam gave me, didn't work. (I did O, 0, I and 1) Sp I contacted Nordic games support twice and both keys haven't worked (Again O, 0, I and 1). I have my compatibility set to XP service pack 3, it's running as admin and I even tried the little space at the beginning. Do I just need to keep contacting support until I get a key that works?
