For the first part, I just built 4 towers at south and placed about 5 archers for defense.
At north I placed 2 towers.
I left the base with avatar imediattely to start hunting down enemy camps. Sent 5 archers to scout him, then some more until reached about 20 - 25, which was enough to completely wipe out anything without any effort.
Kept making more units and placing them at south for tower defense. All enemies where killed before reaching my own units most often. Still with only 4 towers, cause more is cheese.
When all enemy camps where destroyed, but not the bigger one at NE, I just started my all in against it, and I won pretty easily.
Paladins have fire resistance, so I made sure to let them lead the attack against the towers.
Also it seems the towers stop shoting once engaged in melee, which kinda makes it a unbeliavable piece of cake.
btw I won on "hard." meh.
He is not talking about The Shiel, but about the bugged Shiel, after the new patch. That bug creates hundreds of units in spawn camps which don't leave the camp, so it's almost impossible to destroy it.
I've beat it like 1 week ago. When was the last patch?
Dunno how I've played a different version, since it's the same map at fairly recent date with the lastest updates, from automatic steam updates system.
Guarding units can be lured out, AI isn't particular intelligent.
Definitely not. I stand corrected.
It seems the bugged version can be avoided on the beta selection, on the game's proprieties.
The first option, "none." Should be bug free.
