Report a translation problem
Even if you can get to the same map, there is a big gap between them, which makes it impossible to access without cheating.
So yeah, there are only some slight differences and that's probably the biggest one.
The first map of the ToOD character might be different, but you still can get back to it even with your BoW character, as far as I remember.
My BoW was a Dark: death+necro and mind: defensive
You cannot enter the start point of your BoW char, with your ToOD char.
The map can be entered, but not the part where your BoW char (unfortunately) started.
I actually feel the start of the BoW char quite more intense as it's on an island with many enemies and even a Fial Darg. oO
The ToOD start point feels way more comfortable with a few crawlers and undeads.
However, I still believe that you could reach the start point of a ToOD char with your BoW char.
Just without the quests and items of course...
