Do I ever get a new gun?

Ive been using the same shotgun and crossbow I got in the beginning of the game and im on chapter 2 level 3. When do I get a new gun? Im getting bored.

Chapter 2 level 4 and Chapter 3 level 1. Yeah, only 4 Weapons, Battle Out of Hell is way better because you get two additional weapons.... but don't forget that all weapons have two fire modes.

Some of the weapons are essentially two weapons, but the game really does take its time getting going.

remember this is the last true old school shooter. it's more about mechanics than gimmicks. if you need lots of weapons and set pieces, try a more modern game.

there are some combos for some weapons, if im right, but if you REALLY need a lot of weapons, then 1 anwser to that: Borderlands 1/2.

You have 6 weapons at your disposal that I can see, not counting the explosive barrels and boxes lying around, when you are carrying those 2. Experiment with different combinations and enjoy the carnage.

You're close to the next weapon. There are only 5 weapons in the main game (7 if you count BOOH) but they all have multiple functions.

The next weapon is the coolest imo.

Yep it take sometime but the only thing i hate in Painkiller is Chapter 3, its so damn boring, the most epic Chapters are 4 and 5. This Levels are just amazing.

Don't forget to use the Painkiller weapon. Good way to conserve ammo and get some extra gold by bouncing dead enemies in the air with it multiple times (without letting them hit the ground). You can also hold alt-fire with the Painkiler and then press primary fire to launch the blades whirling through enemies.

Borderlands 1, yes...but Borderlands 2 doesn't really have a lot of weapons because of their manifacturer harmonisation. Every torgue Shotgun is exactly the same, except damage...so if you bowl it down to that, Borderlands 2 doesn't have a lot of different guns...B1 the guns are far more diverse!

Crossbow? do you mean the Stake Gun? if so, it has multiple things it can do. Primary Fire shoots a stake in an arc, the longer it flies the more damage it does, eventually catches fire. Secondary Fire lobs a grenade, if you combine secondary fire with primary you can make a rocket launcher but you have to hit the grenade with a stake in order to do so. all guns have multiple functions. they are not just "one" gun.

Electrodriver's combo is a heavy punishment against clustered enemies. I'd rather have few, but more functional weapons, than a lot of simple ones. Combos are the best.
