Painkiller: Black Edition

Painkiller: Black Edition

What is Painkiller: Black Edition
I tried the demo of painkiller black and played the levels that would be DLC in the remake. It didn't seem to start in what I though was the beginning. My question, does painkiller black have the first painkiller in it or just contains the bonus levels? I'm not asking if its DLC only, Im asking if it contains original Painkiller with the extra levels?

Also when I tried the demo, I was greeted by a blue screen Does this happen in the full version. I just wanted to buy this so I don't have to bother with the remake version. I've heard the only difference between the two games is graphics.

That is exactly what I wanted to hear, thank you.

Painkiller: Black Edition is the first/full/complete Painkiller game. It contains the original Painkiller game and the first expansion pack called Battle Out of Hell. So, Painkiller: Black Edition is the original game with ALL levels from that game and the first expansion. Basically a complete package.

There is a difference between Painkiller: Black Edition and the remake Hell and Damnation. Painkiller: Hell and Damnation has better graphics, but is missing quite a few levels that were in Black Edition. It seems to have a random selection of levels and doesn't really feel complete. Even if you buy all DLC, it still doesn't have all the levels from Black Edition. I feel that there is much, much, more content in Painkiller: Black Edition and the older graphics still look fine.

I would say if you're going for the complete "Painkiller" experience, go with Painkiller: Black Edition. (The original.)

As for the blue screen error, that's not something that should happen with the game. The most common cause I can see for that problem is issues with screen resolution. Try setting your screen resolution to something smaller and see if that helps.

Hope this helps!

This chorus is a perfect example why this didn't need a remake, among other games. Oh well, I'm glad the original is at least available along side it so people can make the right choice. :D
