game crashes my computer

I just play normally, no problems and out of nowehere it crashes , screen go black stop sound, happens often but inconsistently, i never even done first level. i must manually turn computer off and on . this is not the only game i have this problem with . Also oblivion and some others. Have win 11 , rtx 3050 6gb, i5 raptor lake, 144hz. New notebook acer nitro V 15.

It sounds like a hardware issue to me. Run something like MSI Afterburner and monitor your temps, something might be overheating.

temperature is ok i checked :/
it also drops on some games and pretty much all of them is older games . newer games are absolutely snooth and ok .

I've had this issue before, earlier this year. Turned out to be a dying power supply. So you could try to change that. Easiest way to confirm, run a hardware test, like one that tests the GPU and let it run for 10-15mins(Mine didn't even make it to 5 before it happened despite temperatures and everything else being absolutely normal).

ik this thread kinda old but i got a copy of a compressed 4gb_patch for old games that use less then 4gb in system memory sittin in a folder with an laa patch and various dx files for old games, for example runnin this on my 3050; with an i5 aswell; allowed me to play the original thief daggerfall and gothic, with steam overlay even. Just the 4gb patch was needed, tho i did resolution fixes aswell which can really help with older games. Usually those are the 2 main problems tho, system memory and resolution. Just for anyone passing bye i guess.
