Do You Think This Game Is Better Than Serious Sam?

With Painkiller having different locations, cool weapons with alt fires, many different enemies, and a rocking soundtrack, would you say the game is better than Serious Sam?

Can't be compared, they are two different games. I like both of them but i prefer painkiller, expecially for the mp.

Two different games. Serious Sam and Painkiller are great games at their own right.

Not really or?! BOTH are great games I love both Sam and The PainKiller of course!
Serious Sam is also with gore R-rated.But Painkiller to me yeah it is more darker more Gothic so to speak xd.Serious Sam and Painkiller are amongst my all time favorites with Quake,DooM and many many more.

Gameplay is fun in both, but I vastly prefer the level design and overall atmosphere of PK.

Like people said, it's a different type of gameplay.

What you can compare this to is Doom 2016 and forward because they took the Painkiller formula and trivialized it to make it more accessible.

i think serious sam is better. i dont really like the health system in painkiller.

My two favorite games from childhood. I love them both, but i would go with PK because of the whole atmosphere which i prefer in this type of games

When I played it, I immediately thought of Serious Sam! My thought was, "This isn't as good as Serious Sam." PK is still great, the campiness just seems better suited in the Sam games. It's hard to mix dark & haunting with campiness, but that said, PK is as good as it gets! PK is more Evil Dead than any of the Evil Dead games!

SS older and better because of the enormous scale of things and levels. And SS is also the game that really got me into computer hardware and GPUs because it looked pretty revolutionary back in those days. PK has awesome turbo bunnyhopping that made multiplayer totally insane. I once was at some game competition event and played versus Fatal1ty who was the best at PK back in the day and it was pretty insaene how he just bunnyhopped the whole map from spawnpoint to spawnpoint so by the time u respawned he was already right there shooting at you lol. PK makes me think of Will Rock from those days too but thats the far lesser game then the 2 others.

Way better, Serious Sam puts me to sleep with it's lack of enemy variety that gets old fast, annoying difficulty that really comes from how slow you move compared to the hordes of enemies and how much of a slog it is to get through big levels, unsatisfying weapons, ect

Painkiller on the other hand is a adrenaline rush from start to finish, every weapon is useful, tarot cards add uniqueness, boss fights aren't the greatest imo but tarot cards cheese them, killer soundtrack and level design, godly atmosphere and nice enemy variety, it's better than SS in everyway and people who complain about the health system just have a skill issue
