How to avoid Alastor tower fall demage?

I've completed Painkiller at least 2 times many years ago and I don't remember having this problem. Now I can't get past this boss fight because falling demage is draining my life as f**k.
Guy here doesn't even take fall dmg at all, how??

Ok for anyone having trouble with this as well it seems that the golden card "enemies can't hurt you" or something like that actually makes you immortal. So not only ENEMIES can't hurt you but also fall demage is non existent while the card is active. With it it's a piece of cake.

Yes, this is how to do it without cards and on trauma ;-)

I don't know how because I've tried that before card solution and on nightmare after last drop on PILLAR I've lost above 100 health points out of 120 or so. And that's ONE drop.
