Antivir Trojan detection.
If Antivir recognizes the games .exe as a trojan, you can ignore it. We already had this problem after the last patch. The .exe of the 32bit version of the game is falsely detected as a potential danger. We submitted the file to Avira and the issue should be fixed soon.

Well, thanks for the info, there is any way we can use the 64bit version? (I mean, assuming there is a 64bit version and it doesn't suffer from the same issue).

If you have a 64bit system, Steam should automatically download the 64bit version.

F-Secure detects the .exe of the current update as Trojan too.
"A Generic Detection of a file or program that appears to have trojan-like features or behavior."
So heuristic.

Oh and btw, downloading the update is impossible without excluding the .../steamapps/downloading folder and .../steamapps/coomon/Ben and Ed from scanning.

The newest version of the .exe looks pretty bad on VirusTotal.

I hope that link works. In every way 13/55 detection, I'm going to delete it for now (just to be sure).

Sadly, this will take a while. We have to submit the games .exe to every develper, so they can include the wrong positive detection to their software.

Small update: Avira confirmed the false positive and it will be removed with the next Antivir update.

We already contacted them. They will whitelist the file with the next update.

Hi! We're doing our best. For some progams, it takes a few days because of slower support. We check the file on virustotal.com regulary.

Im getting the problem with both windows and my avg firewall. had to redownload the game twice now. keeps flagging the .exe as a trojan.

Because AVG is not listed on virustotal.com, we didn't know of the false detection. I contacted them and the issue should be resolved shortly.
