Is this worth playing in 2019?

Hello is this game still worth playing in 2019 or should I just go play Guild 2 or 3?

The reason I asked is that it is currently on sale at humble bundle and was thinking of getting it. Does it work well on Windows 10?

It is one of the greatest games made. It does not run well on 10 but there are fixes available. Guild 2 is a good game the 3 is not done yet.

What do you mean when you said it doesn't work well on Windows 10 which is my OS. Can you still play it?

works fine on windows 10 just right click and run in newer graphics card mode, i suggest right now going for guild 2 reniassance it is what i have spent the most time on and love.but that is just my opinion i just started playing the guild gold, looks decent so far, - some invert controls like camera zoom throws me off

I already have Guild 2 Renaissance. Is it worth it get the first one if you already have that? Thanks.

I have Win 8.1, and when I run it in the new graphic card mode, it cuts-off the in-game pop-ups. You cannot see all of your storage slots, for example. In the Market, you cannot navigate between stalls without shutting and re-opening. Out of that mode, the only issue is that the game is choppy. This hasn't been optimized properly.

Your question of "is it worth playing in 2019" is very subjective. It depends on your gaming expectations. I still enjoy playing Torment: Planescape and BG I&II. So, my answer is definitely! Sadly, they offer a VERY limited number of scenarios with this addition, and you cannot access the Marriage Swindler except on very hard assignment mode. I found it to be one of the easiest. They gussied the game up at some point, and this is the result. The original version of this game was CLASSIC!!

As to it working on Win 10, I have Win 8.1. It's choppy without ticking the box for new graphic cards, and ticking that box cuts off the in-game pop-up windows, where you view your inventory, for example.

No I think it would be best to play it in 2021 as, if you play it then, you will not have to invent a time machine before playing it. I think it is worth playing as long as you accept it for what it is.
