German Speech Files?

I've set my game language to german in the steam properties, but I'm missing the german sound files. Only thing that has changed is menu language.

Open 'My Documents', find the folder 'gothic 3' and 'useroptions'.
Then change "VoiceLanguage = German", "SubtitleLanguage = German" and "Subtitle = true".

Yeah, read my post. I dont even have the correct files. I already changed the ini. Now, i dont get any dialogue at all.

Install the Community Patch 1.75, if you haven't done that, so all files may appear.
Then you will be able to change it.

Nah, the patch does not fix that problem. The speechfiles are still missing. Just google for "gothic 3 speech_german.pak download" and look for something trustworthy. I'm still trying myself, so I cannot put a direct link down.

Edit: Okay the solution is simple. First download and install the Ini-Patch and then the community patch. Both can be downloaded on the WoG forums.

first, install german version of the game, then go into Gothic 3\Data folder and copy\cut Speech_German.p00 and Speech_German.pak into someplace else

afterwards, delete the game, reinstall it in your desired language and paste those files into Data folder of your new installation.

afterwards edit g3.ini and mountlist.ini
