It becomes all too obvious you haven't experienced any of the game yourself.
And there is enough of a story:
--> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gothic_3#Plot
What some players fail to grasp is that story-telling happens during conversation with key NPCs. If refusing to talk to story NPCs, such as because of refusing to look into main quests for a long time for any reason, story-telling and story progression are deferred to a later point.
Very constructive story telling.
No, it's not okey if fans of first two game hate the third game. Game is the problem
I don't understand why "The Day Before" is removed from STEAM, but Gothic3 is still on Steam or other platforms.
I was a victim of this full price scam in 2006.
and I vowed NEVER AGAIN to pay money for Jowood-2-point-zero.
So REPETITION:
Finally upload the source code of Gothic 1 2001 and Gothic 2 2002 NotR 2003 to a museum website, and delete Gothic3 completely here.
Aside from that:
Calling a video game “Gothic” is also illegal. Gothic is a computer game GENRE.
Also the name for one: architecture, language, art history of painting, people, religion, youth culture, clothing style
Putting a video game for sale under the title “Gothic” is ALWAYS a scam and illegal misleading.
I bought it in the sale with the "Gothic Universe Edition"
I can only strongly advise against this!
I'm only using this purchase to dislike Embracer Group Jowood 2-Point-Zero games.
I installed G1 out of curiosity. (review)
I installed Gothic2 because of Archolos. (review)
I will never install G3 and Playable Teaser. (not a review)
Gothic 3 is definitely a bad game maybe not the worst out there but certainly not the greatest.
Yeah im a masochist playing such a garbage another time just to see and re-live the same experience, i believe some of the players just love to be milked through nostalgia by greedy companies who are re-release their products with lowest possible effort. It's the same with other games right? They turning games into brand which look silly like an anime girl connected to milk machine so they can abuse for big gains. Different people and studios are working on the same brand and yet players are expecting something about the same but better. Personally i hate mindless people and cults that are growing around some games which in the end is a green light for companies to throw away any ambitious goals because even if the game will be packed in a bag full of doodoo they would still buy it.
If they could put more effort into it in the past and think about releasing it as a MMORPG world in Gothic Universe that would be the best thing to grant this game a prolonged life and make a proper competition against other but they didn't calculate market well that time during the young days of huge increase in global internet usage. Only modders, streamers and fanatic fanbase carried this dying piece of crap on their back for so long that it had another releases with nintendo switch port and fascinating they made even more errors than originals had.
Piranha was riding the same engine for 2 decades and still they are doing exact the same mistakes but just with different GUI.
I only love the dark atmosphere and dark fantasy aura that surrounds this game which is not present at Gothic 3, but technically you are right it's a torment for newcomers and old-gamers alike. If they are planning to release gothic 3 again at least give it a proper patch and fix most of the crucial quests that are important in progress, but this is too much to ask. Modders gave these games a better scripts and even stories with alternative balance. They did more job during all these years for free than original creators in entire lifespan.
I suggest that piranha or more accurately THQ Nordic should hire a bunch of good programmists and modders so they can actually release a game.
Pardon my english is not my native language.
I've been wondering who these people are for 4 years (since Dec 13, 2019). and to my knowledge these are Austrians and Romanians of the Roman ethnicity. These people are under the influence of real PsyOps and will be eradicated as a hobby. See numerous YouTube videos about this that are already speculating about this.
But because these PsyOps are extremely important, these PsyOps will never end, at least not for the next 70 years, during my lifetime.

So the only hope there is:
Poles use this as wiki/Asset_flip
Retro developers like Nightdive Studios use this as wiki/Asset_flip
Either Gothic1,2 will finally be uploaded to a museum website, so there is no owner at all.
(as with: wiki/Shadow_Company:_Left_For_Dead, ect.)
Or the assets of the ZENGINE (Quake Retro Engine with all animations and mechanics from Gothic2) are transferred to another engine, like the KEX Engine.
Iron Lore Entertaiment did Anniversary Edition which reincarnated the game, absolutely better gameplay than original game and more enjoyable than any other Diablo-like games. And that's it. They left or whatever maybe didn't get hired to make DLCs.
Pieces Interactive made two DLC for the game: Ragnarok probably only good DLC and Antlantis which sucked hard, because it was just unplayable duo to stutters. And that's it. They left and haven't even fixed the game.
Digital Arrow made Enternal Embers DLC which sucked, because it was only for characters which finished game on 3rd Level Difficulty or you had to create new one on max lvl. Nobody liked that idea. Welp, at least we can thank DA for fixing many games problems left by Pieces Interactive.
And now Titan Quest 2 is developed by Spell Forces creators, Grimlore Games. I mean on paper it sounds like proper way to bring Titan Quest on mainstream, but I expect nothing from THQ Nordic and I wonder how they are gonna screw this up.
Anyone who has anything to do with these people in real life, immediately notices that this is all about something like the “Hobbyprojekt Drachengame”
Roman ethnic group should do the following...
(you should have children, you shouldn't fatten yourself to 400 kilos, you shouldn't make rabbit cries, you shouldn't be a affluant neglect warrior, if a brawler breaks into your house and exterminates your entire family you should defend yourself, you shouldn't accept "tickets", you should finally Try Fantnyl,...)
But like the "Drachenlord", THQ Nordic does what they want, in their own interpretation, forever.
But this self-interpretation will NEVER be:
a new "Gothic" video game
a game from the Gothic genre
wiki/Asset_flip for retro gaming developers
Seek attention? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within the forum?
What else you are looking for when you discover entirely new bug in the game? Attention and answers, because how else you supposed to get the answers without the attention?
Wait, so hold on... Did you just called entire Gothic 3 Community bunch of pathethic l-words? Every single person that posted on forum? Hold on hold on... But you got my attention now? Are you calling yourself pathethic l-words? Don't think is that you are little a bit harsh on yourself?
(btw, I am censuring l-word, apparently it's to much for Steam Moderation, got meself once comment removed. the origin of the l-word is "lost" and "pineapple". is not really "pineapple" i just throw that word in the mixer to make you confuse. let's continue.)
I always found it funny how some people, apparently not a having clue, what is the point of the forum/discussions. Imagine your mom to talk to your grandmother about cheesecake recipe and this lil fella just comes to kitchen and tells you to stfu.
Splendid.
