Gothic 3

Gothic 3

How to proceed ?
I bought this precious game on June-Jule sales and I would need some advice of how to proceed.

Not a walktrough, I don't wanna take this game SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO serious, but, for example, I was tired of Montera and Tiles (Sorry If I'm wrong :bandit:) , where you meet Thorus and I went to desert becouse the 'Myrthana' missions usually bore me.

I cleared gotha castle without Gorn's help due to a bug, I got the teleport rune and Didn't go to Vengard cuz I thought I must explore another regions.

I went to North but Trolls and Ogres are so hard to beat, so I guess north is for the late-history game.

Now I'm in Braga, starting in the desert and I want to ask: Is this good ? I mean, the good way to play? Or I'm so early at dessert ?

I killed a Paladin in the way here named Kurt, who was allied with bandits and I couldn't dialogue with him, I got a chalice and a paladin shield + sword, I'm playing on easy but this was SOOOOOOOOOOOO Easy...

Can someone give me something like a 'Order' to play ? I mean: First Free Cape Dun/Kill the rebels, second: /Free Montera/Kill Onkara, (<- I haven't done this, by the way, should I come back to Montera and close this issue ?)

I just know that I'm in dessert and don't know if exploring is a good game of playing or should I take a order in cities/missions...

Thank you all Gothic gamerzz :3

Cheers! :steamhappy:

Ok.So technically the order should be like this(note that when i say the city i also mean the associated with it rebel camp):Ardea-Cape Dun-Montera-here it depends on you.You can either go to Gotha and get the rune and then go to Venguard and clear it or go to Trelis-Geldern-Silden-Gotha if you chose option Number 2 previously-Venguard-Faring-Nordmar where you have to find Xardas-Varrant-Go from city to city and find all the divine artifacts-go to Nordmar to get the last one and chose which God to play for.Note this is an OVER-simplified way to play the game but its real close to how the game should be played chronologically.I can go more in depth but it will take a lot of time.The game has an open world.You should do whatever you want.You should
liberate cities/destroy rebel camps and the orc camps in Nordmar after you get the power of a God because then you actually have the power to take them all on.

Ohhh... Thank you! :steamhappy:

Just to conclude, If I'm already at Braga, should I wait the mission of free a little lady?

I mean, should I back in time, finish montera/go to the king's place and follow number one.
Do the same but with number 2... Or follow this way and explore?
Note: I preffer to follow your comands, cause I don't want a SERIOUS gameplay, but I want the game to have a 'Order' , not just a free roam and then do a main task and win.

Thank you for your time :)

No order is the only right answer
You've bought the wrong game if you wanted a linear experience

I know, I always liked the RPG where you have a lot of freedom to do all things.

It's just, for example, when I killed the demon of Gotha I completed a Onkara quest without know where Onkara was, then I went into the paladin there and finished quest.

Roam time then

You, sir, deserve a cookie!
if you wouldl like to speak with all bosses of the cities remember to not destroy more than becaue they will try to kill you if you try to speak with them.It's the same with rebeles they won't speak with you

Yes... Actually I couldn't speak to Ortega, neither to the paladin I killed, (Kurt I think). Nor the orcs inside Vengard or any bandits. I thought it could be the armor I wore but I discard that as It was a lightweight hassasini.

Ortega is a thief, you are not his friend, he does not chat with you.
Kurt is a bandit, same as ortega, he hates you. Don't ask why...
All orcs inside and around Venguard hate morras (humans), because they're part of the invasion... Orcs in towns hate morras too, but they can't just go around killing them since they make use of them in the form of slaves or merceneries.

Try changing "TestMode=true" to "TestMode=false" in ge3.ini.

Try to disable DEP for Gothic 3
I have no idea if this is related to your problem but it stopped my game from crashing at some moments so you might do it aswell

For a reainstall to be usefull, you must make sure it's a clean install, meaning - all files removed. There are some files left in My Documents folder...

I did delete those and It still appears...
Well , I found a 'half solution' => PRESS CONTOL + P

It will make them disappear but you must do it everytime you ply GO3

Are you sure you actually did do this:
"Go into your Gothic3\Ini directory and find the file "debug.ini". Change the first few lines:

DisplayOnScreen=true
DisplayEntities=true
DisplayModules=true
To become:

DisplayOnScreen=false
DisplayEntities=false
DisplayModules=false
"
?

It seems like the only logical explanation and solution...
