Gothic 3

Community Patch? Is the game even worth it?
Hello, considering buying Gothic 3. However I heard it's unplayable with vanilla content, and that you need a community patch for gameplay to be better. Where/how can I download said patch, and is the game worth it after the patch?

download this and install in this order too:

1. Gothic_3_EE_Patch_v1.75.14_Int_Full
2. Gothic_3_EE_v1.75_Int_Update_Pack_v1.04.10

My version is 1.75 in the main menu, and noticed a lot of new settings for graphics etc... Am I on correct patch now?

2. google/download/install Gothic_3_EE_Patch_v1.75.14_Int_Full
3. google/download/install Gothic_3_EE_v1.75_Int_Update_Pack_v1.04.10

you guys seem didn't know the 1.75 is on steam, in beta branch, right click on your gothic 3, select beta 1.75, that's the community patch 1.75

Some more bug fixes and performance tweaks, minor stuff mostly.

1.75.14 only changes this:
+ Performance tweaks.
+ Modkit enclosed as separate installer, incl. short manual & CPT tools.
- Light calculation on vegetation corrected.
- Lightmap issue on some ruin's walls.
+ Width of ingame menus depends on aspect ratio of the screen resolution (can be switched on or off by GUI.AutoAspect in ge3.ini).
+ Color grading implemented.
- Nvidia 3D Vision issue - sky at wrong depth (can be switched on or off by Render.Nvidia3DVisionFix in ge3.ini).
- "Orc armor" reincluded into the game.
+ "Looting by rightclicking" can be deactivated via ge3.ini (parameter QuickLoot).
This is wrong! There are waaaaaay more bug fixes from 1.7, 1.71., 1.72, 1.73, etc.
Go to worldofgothic.de and look at the patch notes. They are tremendously HUGE.

Go here for a list of the full patch notes after the 1.6 version that Steam has to offer:

As I stated I posted the notes for 1.75.14 only. I never stated anything otherwise.

Hello, I already refunded the game, didn't like it. Thanks for your help & information though. No need to comment further on this topic.
I've started playing Gothic 3 recently - including the community patches and Alternative Balancing - and OMG, it's really good. Not better than Gothic 2 Gold Edition, which is brilliant due to how you level up from a poor sucker to a hero. But the free world and exploration in Gothic 3 are amazing.

Been a few years but I believe it's the general folder for the game.
