Can't find Demon Bow

Hello, I've got problem with finding a Demon Bow. As I'm searching in net, it should be in 44 heavy chest in Northmar, in Ingvar House. But, suddenly, there is no heavy chest but only chest without that bow. I'm playing on version 1.60.29. Can anyone help me?

The thing with Heavy Chests is that no matter where you open them,you're bound to find the exact same items as the ones that are listed.Maybe you won't get them in the exact same order(let's say you get item 29 after you got item 30),but as long as you've opened them all you will have them.Heavy chests give you items for warriors i.e. Swords,Bows,Crossbows and recipes for weapons while Old chests give you stuff for mages i.e. Rings,Amulets and Staffs.

Ye, okay, but still, I haven't found ANY heavy chest, only normal or old ;-;

How far into the game are you?And why are you on that version?1.75 came out a long time ago.That's the most up-to-date version of the game.

I have just simply installed game and played it, it was on 1.6 ver. I thought it was newest, steam should update automatically. I'm already in Northmar, like half of gameplay there, found Xardas and etc. I went to find heavy chest number 1 in Myrthana but the same, not heavy chest but only chest :/

Well,the patches that I'm referring to are community made,as the name implies.They're not official.The Steam version of the game isn't the newest one.

To change the games version right click on Gothic 3 in your library and select properties.When you go there,select the betas tab and click on the drop down window which is for the beta versions of the game and select the community patch 1.75 one.That is the most recent version of the game.

Problem is that I don't know how this will effect your save games.Could possibly delete them or corrupt them since they were made on an older version of the game.Unless you feel like starting the game from scratch,don't change the version.Sorry that I can't help you any further.

So, my version of game makes that I can't find any heavy chest?

I genuinely don't know.It was so long ago when I played the game on the pre 1.7 versions.What I remember is that every smith in Nordmar has a Heavy chest in their huts.The smith in the Fire clan has two.Try to go there and see if he has some kind of special chests in his hut.Or go to the Wolf clan and see if the chest which is in the hut of the smith is special..I'm 100% sure that when I last played the game it was a Heavy one.

Went to that smith but the same, no sign of heavy chest :(

Turned the game on one more time.Well,yes I was right.The first two show you where the Heavy Chests in the Fire clan are and the last one(the last 3 numbers of the link to the screenshot are 420-lel eks di memes) shows you where the one in the Wolf Clan is.Try to use them and see if there are chests in those exact same locations.

Well,in that case,I don't know what to tell you.Either switch the version of the game and start a new game or continue playing and don't care about this.

As you can see, there aren't any heavy chest, but chest (in polish ,,skrzynia'' is chest, ,,ciężka skrzynia'' is heavy chest)

The chest on the second picture looks bugged.As in there are two chests in the same spot.I'm guessing that that's the reason the two heavy chests were so close to one another.They probably just seperated them with a newer version of the CP.

Well,my advice hasn't changed.Either start the game over on the newest version or continue playing.You've got gear good enough to pass the game,imo,but the choice is up to you.

Well, okay, it seems I'll have to use power of cheats to get that bow :(
