Do NOT buy the Scythe
Absolutely useless, overpriced weapon. I expected it to be like a faster version of the sledgehammer, but it's effectively useless against heavy enemies like the Bouncer or Sergeant.

On a side note, don't buy the blunderbuss either. Piece of garbage.

Can agree on Scythe, especially upset with it not being able to hit multiple enemies at once, just doing that would've made the weapon much more playable.

As for Buss... I mean, the description did say it only has one shot :zombo:
And the damage is fairly decent from what I can remember.

Actually, I've managed to use the Scythe with decent success. It stuns a fair amount of enemies, and if you use the movement from it properly you can take out Sergeants.
You have to end up on the other side of them on the second swing so that when they attack they miss you.

Admittedly, it is a difficult weapon to use. However, it doesn't need ammo, has insane range for a melee, and is silent. Works best on Vamps though.

Are you kidding? I finished the entire game with the Scythe, I barely used anything else.

The issue with the Buss is that its only one kill, with good accuracy the Mouse is usually worth 2 kills. Of course the buss can usually take out a big guy, that quite a few mains kind of have trouble with... The Mouse and a Hammer/Knife are all you need for side weapons.

The scythe is pretty good IMO. Fast, forgiving range, fun dances with Sarges. Also its fine against Bouncers provided you can sneak up on them. You just really need to be stealthy, Unfortunately by the time you can unlock it if you save up, you're onto phylacteries which you can't reach with an unthrowable melee weapon...
