Can't use paint on magic seal at castle

Really frustrating to get over half way through the game to realise there is a bug. When you get to the castle, you cannot use the paint on the magic seal. I used hints which sent me around in circles until I realised from the walkthrough that without getting past the magic seal, you cannot progress. Such a waste of time and money. Are the developers ever going to fix this?...

While I was able to complete the demo without issues, this game crashes at start with the 'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library' error message "This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way". I have no clue why 'Do Games Ltd.' titles are so erratic unstable. Unfortunately they never ask for technical info to figure out why some games work and some not. I have requested a refund. I'm near the point at which I am done with games from this developer....
