Export save data

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with saving/exporting data in the demo. I can see the export button, but when I click it, nothing gets copied to my clipboard (I tried pasting into Notepad and it’s empty).

Am I missing something, or is this a known issue?
Has anyone found a workaround?

Is the save file also stored as a file from the Demo? I've had the same clipboard issue. On Steam Deck / Linux.

Never mind--I found the file location. If anyone else played the demo on SteamOS and wants to carry over their save file, it's at this path:

/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/4124780/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Lunch Money Games/Scritchy Scratchy

Copy the save.json file and paste it in this path (overwrite the one in there):

/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/3948120/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Lunch Money Games/Scritchy Scratchy

4124780 is the AppID for the Scritchy Scratchy Demo specifically, and 3948120 is for the full game, according to Protontricks.

For anyone else on Linux that wants a one-liner for copying the save from the demo to the full game, just copy and paste this exactly as it's written:

+1 for this too.

Me and my gf have different steam accounts on the same pc and because there's no "per user" save files, we wanted to use the import/export as a workaround (even though its super inconvenient) but the buttons do nothing.

please consider doing "per-user save folders" or at the VERY least, add multiple save files. It would help a lot.

All that's in that folder is

Player
Player-prev
steam_autocloud.vdf


there's no .json file

i found it.

it was at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\XXXXXXXXXX[my steam34 ID]\3948120\ac\WinAppDataLocalLow\Lunch Money Games\Scritchy Scratchy\save.json

but after removing it, it seems that the game is saving it in the folder you originally said and not saving in the one I found.

I still can't seem to find it on steam deck in any of those locations, even with hidden files viewable
