HOW TO PLAY CO-OP IN DEAD EFFECT 2

Hello community!
It might be a bit early to post tutorials and guides, but we wanted to post a brief how-to for the co-op mode, since I guess that's what most of you are eager to play, right?

Please note that the co-op is not available in the main menu when you start the game.
To unlock the co-op mode, you need to finish the first two story levels in the single-player mode.
After that, you get access to the holomap where you can choose to play in the co-op mode.
Both the story levels and special missions can be played by 3 players.
The difficulty will scale according to the number of players (if you play with friends, you'll get more enemies than when playing solo).

Please note that we are still in the process of optimizing the game, especially the co-op, that's why the game is first coming out in Early Access - so that we can consider your feedback and work with it to make the game better.

I hope you guys will all enjoy the co-op when the game comes out! In the meantime, you can post all your co-op related questions here, we will do our best to answer them all.

EDIT: We're working on improving the matchmaking system for the upcoming update. It will be possible to join mid-game and you will be able to play even locked missions (those you haven't unlocked yet in single player). This is for the special missions - Biohazard and Survival. More changes and updates for the story levels as well will come in the future updates.

Thanks for the heads up. I am really excited. Already played the F2P Android version but for me as a hardcore PC gamer since about 25 years just want to play it on Steam ... and with friends in coop! ;-)

I like this. Too many games give you multiplayer right off the bat. It gives no incentive to get invested in the characters and the lore behind their world. With a system like this, you have to at least give the plot a chance before diving straight into gormless multiplayer shenanigans.

I checked in the servers and couldn't seem to find any games available?

Hi there! Yes, you can play in multiplayer now, but you need to complete the first two levels to get to the central room with the map. There you can select the option to enter co-op.

I'm aware I had to complete the first two missions, and I have! But when I went to the central room and used the map, I couldn't find any games to join! Any suggestions?

Not run the multiplayer mode. Don't find any server. How i can do?

I dunno if anyone else is having this problem, but I can't find any active games. When I hit join game, it says no valid games found. What's up?

i had the same problem, just host your own game. i did and someone joined me after about 5 min.
