Ultimate Bow?
Is this really worth the effort?

Does it pierce through an entire line of enemies, or does it just go through one and then stop after it hits the second enemy? How often does it pierce?

How do I unlock the two side tasks to complete it? I need to do Force-field technology and micro-powersource, but I don't have these sidetasks.

Only two ultimates are truly "worth it", the Turbo Synergy (ultimate SR, arguably the best weapon in the game) and the Heplannon (Ultimate heavy, aka the only unique ultimate). The ultimate bow isn't as gimmicky as some other ultimates, but it doesn't really feel any different than any other Epirus variant (maybe around 10% stronger). The piercing effect is noticeable, but it doesn't proc all that often, and bows are so accurate that even when it does it will just hit the wall behind your target. If you don't like playing with bows in the first place, it likely won't change your mind.

If I remember correctly, when you look at the mission select screen, you'll see exclamation marks on missions that contain a side-task objective. Look for those. If they don't show up, you might suffer from a glitch. I know that it took me a while to finish the ultimate sword questline because I had to hunt a boss for a drop, in a mission that contained no such boss. Could be something similar.

Thanks for the response.

I do enjoy using the bow. But my problem is that i don't have those two side tasks at all, how do I unlock them?

Yes, I've done that. I'm currently on the fifth one.

Sorry, wasn't thinking straight....
Force field tech and micropower (and several other tasks) will open when you upgrade (via side tasks) minikins workshop for the third time (I think the task is called best engineer).

Most of the uniques should have a step that tells you to upgrade the workshop, for some reason I totally forgot to add it to the bow

No, thank you for your quick reply. I'm actually not that far into the storyline, so I think I probably need to advance the plot to upgrade minkins workshop

yeah, some of the ultimate tasks and sidetasks they depend on require you finish storyline up to some point, so it's possible you don't see them yet even if you're level 20
