upgrade parts and crafting parts?

i get crafting and upgrading parts from levels and i have yet to see any use for them since i can't sell them and buying them is expensive AF. so is there any use for them and if so what?

Custom made gear and gear codex, ultimate weapons at max level. Also those need for some upgrade side task, like Minikin's workshop etc. This is a new thing introduced in latest update.

ok but how do i use it? i can only buy and upgrade weapons by using money is there some other menu for that stuff?

its in the side missions. ultimate weapons and custom whatever.

just went through a TON of side missions for the ultimate assault rifle only to find out that i need a ton of that stuff to make the gun. definitely not worth the effort. an upgraded mythical assault rifle lays down insta-death on hell difficulty, why in the world would i go through all that effort to get an "ultimate" gun? does it kill things automagically? seriously, i don't see the point of spending all that time on it. kind of pissed, tbh. so many side quests, and i am really no closer to actually getting the gun.

wordwaster: The ultimate weapons are not auto instant killers. Those weapons are better than the normal weapons you can loot or buy from shop. For example the ultimate assault rifle is more precise, have higher magazine, a little bit better damage and almost no recoil while you shoot. You just need to play the game, enjoy it and slowly you earn those parts.
Anyway I wonder what reward you need to get feel that it worth the effort for you if not a better weapon.

my point is that the mythical level 20 weapons are already super powerful. why do i need a "super duper" powerful gun? it's just a lot of work for a totally pointless thing.

I have many mythical (if not all) upgraded weapon with maximized weapon training. Still the bosses, spacesuit zombies, minikin spitters, kevlar weared guards need some bullets before they fall. Try longer Survival and Biohazard in the Warehouse 7 map on Hell dificulty. There you still dont have enough firepower when 10-20 zombie run to you from both sides quite fast with bosses, spitters, grenade zombies. >:)
Anyway if you dont feel it then none force you to earn those weapons.
Sidenote: RPG (as this is one of it) games are about earning better gear, you never can be enough powerful. :D

On the hologram ship middle there (in menu) is on right side there u can find Side Tasks. In that menu there are quests/tasks and some need these parts to be finished. Not the best made menu but this is the way now.
