Tower Unite
Libretro - MAME crashing Tower Unite when trying to start some games
I've written a support ticket to the devs on discord to ask about this, haven't gotten a response back, so I'll throw this here in case anyone had similar issues or sorted them out and could tell me how to correct it.

Basically, I've tried to run some arcade games, mostly fighting games, and when trying to boot them up through the MAME core on Libretro, it would crash TU in it's entirety, even giving me the window to write a bug report, anyone knows why and how this happens?

(The games that I've tried that would cause it to crash: King of Fighters 98, Hyper Street Fighter 2: Anniversary Edition, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike and Jojo Heritage for the future)

as in which version of MAME in TU that is causing this? Both the 2010 and 2025 versions crash the game in the same way.

If it's the device that I'm using in-game for... idk if that would really matter to make it work, but, it's one of the arcade cabinets that you place in the condo
Do you have automatic save state loading disabled? In my experience the crashes when starting games from certain cores are caused by that being on.

I've tried that just now, disabled it and tried starting Hyper Street Fighter 2 up, nohing changed, still instant crash
Yea I'm having that same problem. Only fact however is I accidentally formatted my D Drive which has the ROMs for Tower Unite. I had to replace is zip folder individually and validate the files. Still, Columnz crashes the game instantly. It also makes Steam act up.
