Ok why is this a problem. I fail to see how this is bad. I’d pay for a ton of tower items I don’t want to grind I already have a job
It will have every issue that happens with markets/trading, such as people getting scammed, people putting high prices on rare items like Halloween and Christmas limited stuff, (or ridiculous prices for cosmic catsacks), having people play the game just for the sake of grinding items instead of actually enjoying the game, others will play less because they can just buy every single item for whatever collection they're going for (like plushies and fish), cause items that are considered rare to drop in rarity and value because of those people grinding them constantly to the point of making them not worth anything, etc etc.
People will either take full advantage of trading so they can drown in items/units or be the one that gets taken advantage of.
Trading was originally planned during the IndieGogo campaign.
Trading in games often leads to outside black markets, where in-game currency can be sold for real money, potentially leading to scams and damaging the in-game economy.
I highly doubt a black market for Tower Unite would happen, especially since Units are far too easy to come by, and longtime players would have over 100 million with nothing to spend it on, other than to give it away if we could.
One of the main draws I think in Tower Unite is showcasing your unique items earned through time and effort, if these items or units were freely distributing to new players, then it would lessen the motivation to actively participate in mini-games and events and they would probably stop playing early on in the game.
So, I think this is a bad idea and I agree It was the right call to scrap it.
Where do you live where the crack is this good?
