"Your connection to the host has been lost!"

Since the new halloween hotfix update, I haven't been able to connect to any of the plaza lobbies, but I can join my condo server just fine. I've tried between completely empty servers, as well as ones with players in them, and each one is exactly the same, "your connection to the host has been lost", even after verifying my game files.
I have no idea why this is happening or if anyone else is having the same issues, but I do hope it can be fixed soon

Same issue here.

Condo works, but no lobbies work (populated, empty, different regions), always "Your connection to the host has been lost" after a few seconds of trying to join.

I tried verifying files and restarting Steam, no change.

I noticed this with East servers, but West will work. Have you tried servers other than that?

For me (and likely Mashyei too since they mentioned trying populated and empty?), I tried US East, US West, France, and Tokyo, none worked. I tried a bunch again now, and actually a single server works for me, AUS Sydney.

Strangely enough they started working for me again, and I haven't the foggiest idea what caused it or why they just started working again so suddenly, but it still seems empty lobbies don't like being connected to. However the other servers and regions seem to be working fine again
I am very confused as to the whole situation but I suppose it might just resolve itself after some time

I can only connect to servers with more than five people in it. Any less and I get booted right out.

Having the same error/disconnect screen, but I can still connect to servers fine- the game just boots me out after spending some time in the lobby

I can join servers just fine but I get disconnected a random amount of time after joining, regardless of whether it's the plaza or something like a game of virus. This update has made the game nearly unplayable for me.

I can confirm that the serious issue of 'your connection to the host has been lost' happens quite often after this update.
Sometime I think it happen with more people in plaza, for worst you can get connection lost immediately after loaded in plaza.

this is happening me so much to the point of where the game is pretty much unplayable for me. i hope something can be done before the event ends, id hate to miss out on my fav event ;_;

I think the devs are allergic to acknowledging issues or something. Ever since the halloween update people in the steam discussions, discord, and pixeltail forums have been having this issue and yet there is not a single instance of the devs acknowledging that the game is practically unplayable for some of the players.

We've been replying to people on our forums and Discord. We're very aware of the issues.

This is an issue with Steam connections that we unfortunately don't have a lot of control over. It's been off and on when Steam services are under load. Also every Tuesday Steam goes into maintenance around 3PM-5PM PST.
