Yes it is active, especially during substantial new updates. The game has also been featured on a monthly humble bundle which saw record breaking player counts, content creators such as XQC and Jameskii have also played the game on their channel which has boosted player counts.


TL;DR: There are periods of time where the game is quite dead but it does pickup during sales, events & updates.
