how the hell do you catch hard/very hard fish???

I'm glad we have fishing but I can't believe they succeeded at making it twitch-based.
And I'm terrible at twitch-gaming.
I was hoping for more of a relaxing fishing experience with a tension bar.
It is what it is.

I caught two fish out of 18 casts last night.
Not bad... but that's 16 bait I lost.

I agree with the super pole or unlocks that help you get bigger fish.
On the very hard, I'd have just enough time to see where the markers were. And then snap.

Things will be tweaked. This is why we're in Early Access. We take in feedback and make adjustments to the gameplay. For me, it's quite difficult to catch a very hard fish, but it's not impossible and the challenge is good. It's good to lose in the game sometimes, but it needs to be adjusted a bit.

i have yet to catch any, have a hard time even getting them halfway. im siting here missing easy and med fish cause the bar is all over the place, other times it stays in one place for a short amount and thats the only time i can catch anything. most of the time im siting catching fish and the lure is breaking at the same time. when its moving around making it soo i just strait up cant catch any fish that move around. people also like to 100% things and the randomness is this game is the worst out of any games ive played. things like seadollars, beach, catsack, holiday rare drops, and a majority of the casino odds suck the fun out of this game. its causeing lots of people to up and stop playing this game and you can see it in chat all the time. hell even i play my DS well playing tower unite like 80% of the time now cause of how grindy this ♥♥♥♥♥ is.

I personally really enjoy fishing. All of the difficulties feel perfectly fine for me except for Very Hard, sometimes it's easy and other times it's a super-human level of difficult. I appreciate all of the work that's gone into the update, and it was much smoother than the achievements update.

My only gripes with it right now are the EXP just being a little too grindy and the difficulty sometimes just being flat-out impossible, but other than that I really enjoyed the update. :)

your happy with the coin drop rate? 8 hours got me 1..... cause i have 10mil in units and nothing to spend it on. as soon as i saw the new coins i was just like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i know this is gonna be a a hole new level of grind. should also let you buy them for like 50k or 10k. with a drop rate like that, might as well make people pay real money for it

Totally agree on the droprate. Especially since the wireframe fish spawns quite rarely even with the curly bait and then it mostly drops trash.

Seems like you need to chill out a bit. Yeah, the sea coins are ridiculously hard to get, but isn't that the point? Finally getting that Dolphin pet you've wanted should feel rewarding. But, as Mac has literally just said, fishing can still be adjusted if it is too grindy. If you aren't happy with grinding for items, then you don't have to do it. Play what you enjoy. No one asked you to spend 8 hours fishing.

I didn't even know you could play with a controller (I got the game gifted to me a couple days ago), but I've had no issues catching any difficulty of fish through the hardest, unless I'm not paying attention properly which happens sometimes because I don't focus fast enough on the red arrow and the line snaps fast... but that's only happened twice now out of like, 23 times? Most difficulties I get are under "very hard". I just put my mouse near the middle to make it easier to move around the regular meter, usually doesn't take much of the line's slack. I just dislike how little the exp gains are, but that's probably because of how quickly you really catch fish? Maybe I'll get used to it.

Yeah, Mac has said that they are adjusting the EXP rates in the next hotfix - it is quite slow.

Are you by any chance a FPS gamer?

Some people, like myself, have difficulty playing the zombie game and the ball race game because we're just not wired for that kind of gameplay.

I was expecting the fishing to be more like minigolf or bowling, relying less on quick movements and reactions.

But on the bright side, I guess it's good that now twitch gamers have a version of fishing that doesn't bore them.
