Will they ever fix lighting?

I was wondering if they plan to fix lighting. When I create a closed off room I hoped it would become dark, but its still very bright. I wanted to know so I could make things like clubs and theaters which need a dark atmosphere. Im trying to do this in my high rise basement and it isnt working too well.

Ive found that I need to turn up the quality of the game to get proper lighting. I dont know which one affects lighting specifically but if youre set to low on stuff you might want to try finding which one to crank up

I have the same issue, I am trying to make a projection mapping stage for parties and since they "fixed" the lighting it has become to bright on all the stages, killing the effect of the projector.
