I also hope the game will support the D-pad for movement, not just analog, since it's not analog movement.
Yeah its possible you're experiencing this sort of issue. I can fix it, but to do so I will need your help. Also support for D-pad probably wont be realized. Sorry, but I added controller support after the release and it was hard; I'm sticking to fixing problems with the current controller support, like yours. I'm trying to use an Xbox One controller, via direct cable connection. It doesn't seem like the game detects it, as I'm unable to click the arrows on either side of 'keyboard' in the binding section.
Any suggestions?
Well not even detecting it sounds odd. I remind you that in order to use the controller you must plug it in before you start the game. So plug your controller, and then launch the game and go to options->key bindings and check the controller bindings. If you do this and still have problem I can help you troubleshoot this
