Secret Achivement?
While waiting for the devs to fix all the broken achievements, I figured I might hunt for some of the ones that actually DO work, according to the Global Stats. Renegade, Hot Shot Not, Emperor's Tears and Ossmodula Rampant, specifically.

Can anyone tell me what they're awarded for? I have a theory that Renegade is for 'accidentally' killing one of your own Marines with splash-damage or Black Rage, but I've no idea about the rest...

Emperor's Tears can be awarded along with the Renegade achievement if you can play your cards right. Emperor's Tears needs you to let a marine with 10,000 unbanked exp to die.
Renegade is definitely from killing one of your own. I got mine from Black Rage

Ossmodula Rampant is for healing a spess mahreen under 10 hp and hot shot not is when you get killed by a nid that you attempted to hot shot with a plasma gun the previous turn

Specifically, to get "Hot Shot Not", you need to "Miss an overcharged plasma shot, only to be killed by the intended target on the next turn".

Just failing to kill won't do, you need to miss. Easy way to get it : put a tier1, low xp space marine alone in front of a big bad Tyranid.

I got mine from a Carnifex.

Geez... sounds like I'm about to start taking a few more casualties than I usually do. >_> No wonder I haven't gotten them yet, seeing as I tend to foolishly do whatever I can to keep my marines ALIVE. :p

About that Ossmodula Rampant achievement... does anyone know if it's possible to kill yourself using health-draining Wargear like the Stims or the Wolf-Teeth Necklace? If not, and if the game doesn't simply prevent you from using something that would kill you, then presumably it would reduce the user to 1 HP, making it perfect for that achievement.

If that doesn't work, it seems like a rather luck-based one... getting his just exactly enough to bring you down under 10 HP without dying, and then having an Apothecary within range to cure you...

Think of it more as something that you chance upon during a campaign rather than setting out to achieve. I think I got it on a marine which survived a hit from the brood guards special shot, picked up Blessed by Ferrus Manus at the same time.

Sure, but I don't usually keep an Apothecary in my team, so I'm not gonna get it randomly. That crappy heal of theirs just ain't worth downgrading a more offensively-biased Champion to a mere Veteran. Maybe if I lucked into that Blood Angels Hero-Class Apothecary...

Incidentally, what about those last two Secret Achievements that apparently nobody's attained yet... 'Luck of Corax' and 'Eye of Guilliman'? Anyone know if those are bugged (like more than half the achievements currently are) or if nobody's figured out how to get them yet? From the icons alone, I'd theorize that Luck of Corax has something to do with dodging attacks, while Eye of Guilliman is related to killing multiple enemies in a single round, or possibly a single ATTACK...

Well, yeah. Obvious place for it. Carnifexes will murderize you whether you want them to or not, obviously. When I got it, the Carny didn't just slice'n'dice the sacrificial lamb with the plasma-gun that I'd marched up in front of him - he then also proceeded to walk around a corner and quickly eviscerate a highly-experienced Assault Marine Champion with the melee-damage-reducing specialization, all in the space of one turn. I tell ya, those things are seven kinds of nasty... >.<

Luck of Corax is for dodging an attack that would kill you if it hit and Eye of Guilliman is for completing a mission with only one marine, so four marines would have to die.

Old thread. However, this seems like the right place.

Hot Shot Not
Sanguinary high priest kills hormagaunt with Medusa. Next turn another hormagaunt kills him. Achievement unlocked. Probably a bug.

Renegade & Emperor's Tears
Super frag grenades did the job for me.

Ossmodula Rampant
Sanguinary Guard gets damaged in melee. Less than 10 HP remain. His counter attack kills. Bloodlust heals. Achievement unlocked. No need to bring an Apothecary.

Eye of Guilliman
Killed 4 Marines, last one finishes mission. No achievement.
"Complete a mission with... " achievements are bugged. Maybe this one as well.

If you want to slowly reduce health to set up Ossmodula Rampant, an Ultramarine with Iron Halo might be a good idea.
