Punch Club VS Punch Club 2

I own both, but I don't think my ADD can handle playing 2 in a row because they look pretty similar. The story doesn't seem that deep (or maybe it is). So my question...

Do you think I can pick up playing Punch Club 2 if I never played the 1st? Or does some sort of story continue? Without spoilers. I'm okay with: "You should play both for story," and I will :-)

Got it. I'll go ahead and give the 1st a playthrough. Does the 2nd change enough that it feels different? Or is it pretty similar to #1 (outside of the story)?

2 is way better.. 1 will make you go nuts. every day you lose a % of EVERY STAT, where i was at my agility was 19, i lost just under 160 points every day,, waaaaaay too grindy.. the 2nd one was far more forgiving( hint if you want to fight agility, focus the noodle shop at night, and bobos farm during the day for stamina(and imo the best food and drink available))

2 is more balanced and also more fast, i really get bored of all the slow movement in the 1
