Get rid of prequisite skills
I dislike having to take a skill I don't want in order to unlock one I do want, can we make it so that we can choose the skills we want to learn instead of buying the prequisite skill first?

Well, we would all love to get first move cross-punch but sometimes the game has to be balanced in one way or another.
its called skill tree for a reason
the tree cant grow a leaf without a branch
if you could simply choose the skills you want you could skill like
train - statt lock 4/4/4 train-statt lock 8/8/8- 13/13/13 farm money skill all the end game skills and beat the game in 7 days
edit: just to make sure everyone gets it -> ironie was involved

I should have elaborated a bit more, I was thinking why not make different skills cost more skill points than others, so that not all skills are worth the same amount of skill points. I think this would be BETTER than the skill tree, because then you are only grinding for the skills you want instead of having to choose a prerequisite skill you won't use anyway.

I understand your idea behind this but IMO
making a system like this would be horrifying for every beginner since they would probably be completly overwhelmed by all those skills and would get lost while trying to figure out what could be the best for how they are going to play
progressing further and further in those skilltrees to reach higher goals ( skills) is somehow an own reward itself for progressing in the game
if you are training at home or in a club i think you wouldnt start with the hardest techniques and never learn how to make a simple block or punch
just remember a kid needs to learn how to crawl first and ( atleast most of the time) doesnt start with running a marathon first

I disagree entirely, if you go the Agility route you can learn Karate Kick without learning kick and no one is complaining about that. I feel that this would be a better way to give the player control and specialization without wasting points on skills that don't complement your strategy that you are forced to obtain.

I feel that the skill tree isn't so bad. I do however wish that the different Ways could be unlocked directly instead of being in the skill tree.

I wouldn't have an issue with prerequisite skills if it weren't for the fact that you constantly fight against npcs with impossible builds (seriously Hexor? you have 2/1/2 stats and four unlocked skill slots? or the ones with <13 of their main stat but have a skill at the very end of the tree).

*Addendum: I don't think they should get rid of prerequisits, but I do think that the ability to respec would be incredibly helpful.
