Could we get a option to disable the ruthless aggression perk?
it totally destroyed my build.. i knew it would take away block and counterattacks and sidesteps.. but i didnt know it takes away skip attacks too. now i either win in first round or i lose, because i dont have the energy. sure training helps a bit, but tbh i want to just not use the ruthless aggression and go back to defending :(

+1 Didn't expect it to cancel out my skip attack ability, crippled my build and progression.

I basically abandoned my 140 day STR build after picking this. Was able to smack ninjas before, can't beat 4th ninja after. Stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ skill that is counter to the rest of the only viable STR build.

I stopped picking skills on my STR build before this, was too scared it actually did what it said. And blocking is really important against AGI builds.

Heh, I found this post because I wanted to see if people thought it was worth getting the ultimate skill or not. I shall learn from your mistakes. Good to know that you can't have skip attacks with it, and that wreck 'em makes up for it.

@Oskiman do you need both thunderbolt and wreck 'em or have you been able to go with just wreck 'em? How about just thunderbolt?

@everyone: does getting thunderbolt help?

Btw, I don't think you should have the option to turn passives off, because it's obviously meant to be like an extra cost for getting the ultimate skill; there's a similar negative passive in way of the tiger. (Not in turtle though; I wonder why?) However, I'd like to see an option to respec in this game; so far you really just have to start over if you want to make different choices; there's an obvious way to introduce the idea with the magic potion shop.

Hey peeps ran to same problem , learned Ruthless Agression with feeling u dont have to use it , now all my progression 120 days and my way of combat is useless. Isnt there really way how to remove it? Some mode or anything thanks

Same, the tooltip mentions defensive abilities, nothing about skip ability. Made my high strength build worthless and now I have to grind stamina to make it playable.

Also with endurance matches become such a big thing late game, being unable to defend in any situation can make them much more difficult as the lossesin each match leave you with less HP on the next. When I picked the perk I thought it would only activate if I loaded out with no defensive, didn't realise it would lock me out of half my skills.

But is there really no way to undo this bloody "upgrade"? I just don't want to spend more hours on it to undo this. Can you go back to an earlier savegame or something? Anything?

Unfortunately, once you get it, there is no way to undo it. But it's not so bad, you can combine it with wreck 'em, boxing punch, triple punch and exhauster (any extra skill in case you have a fifth slot). I did it well with these skills.
