i have 13 STR locked
4 Agility locked
and 7 stamina in training (i go long game for 13 lock stamina)
I copied the community guide for Bear but not working, and probably wasted too many skill points trying alternative builds, so neither beat the game under 100 days nor getting AGI/STA locked at 13 may be possible now.
(If you are lucky/unlucky enough you could farm lots of points at Don's secret base to compensate, with 5 each time and literally no cooldown, but once you collected all 3 parts, that location would simply disappear)
Maybe try getting training efficiency skills for secondary stats as an alternative strategy? So that I may stand a chance outrunning the daily decay
So I guess the build actually works, but in order to finish the game under 100 days I still need some optimization. IIRC I unlocked 36 skills or so which is way too many. Most are trial-and-error like unlocking boxer which didn't actually help, while others are difficult to judge, like adding 15% training efficiency skills or Diehard (after pairing Triple Punch with Closeline I even didn't have much chance to run out of energy before winning). Thunderbolt is indeed useless though, majorly because of its low accuracy.
from here go to berserk and switch to turtle to unlock modifier that makes attack take 30% less stamina but lower your dodge and block
1. If you have locked strength at 13, then you should have FIVE skill slots. Two of them are in the basic tree and easily reachable. DId you unlock them both? You will want all five.
2. Triple Punch is essential, as it lets you string Bear attacks together in combos.
3. If you have 13 strength, it is strongly advised that you use Wreck' Em as it will save you a ton of energy on strikes that don't land.
4. "Boxing Hook," refers to the attack "Hook," which shouldn't be used anyway because it sucks. Boxer affects every Bear attack with the attacking body part highlighted in white, which is practically all of them. Closeline and Powerful Uppercut are my favorites, but Knee Crush is very energy efficient even if its debuff doesn't last long enough.
5. I don't really recommend Tormentor Strikes, if you already have Wreck'Em. Your accuracy is very high for a bear, so you can just do Boxing Punch+Closeline+Triple Punch+Wreck'Em+Exhauster, and annihilate everything. You miss, you keep swinging. You hit, they are devastated. They block, your damage is so high that stopping it empties their energy.
6. 10 agility times 3 is 30, divided by (13 strength plus 10 agility plus 7 stamina) is 1.0, which is pretty high accuracy for a bear. Agility is irrelevant by itself, the real measure of how fast somebody is is ACCURACY, which is the stat represented by an eyeball on the character sheet. (3x AGI) / (STR + AGI + STAM) = Accuracy. Higher accuracy means dodges "hit," more often, resulting in a forced miss on the attack. Attacks have some chance of missing automatically, but their accuracy goes up based your character's accuracy. You can't prevent enemies from dodging some of your attacks, but for them to have high accuracy they need low strength and stamina, meaning when you do hit them they'll be hurt badly.
6. Your stamina is lower than it should be. More stamina means higher HP and more energy regeneration to keep throwing bombs. Now that your strength is high enough to beat the game, you need to be beating up that treadmill. It wouldn't kill you to push strength to 14 or even 15, since this can add 5 more damage to a Closeline attack but only like 1 energy cost, but 13 is high enough to defeat any enemy i the game if you're landing combos on them and not running out of energy. If your accuracy stays above 0.7 it shouldn't be a problem. If it's 1.0 then you should be tearing your opponents apart like a chew toy.
If your opponent has 1 dodge and is not using "Fast Reflexes," they will not even attempt to dodge 25% of the time. Even if they are using two dodges and "Fast Reflexes," they will still just stand there 12% of the time. With your 1.0 accuracy, you should be about half as quick as a pro level tiger, which is pretty fast for a bear. Between their random failures and you having 50% of their accuracy and the "Boxer," perk, you should be connecting some of your attacks. The thing to keep in mind is that your energy costs are significant, so "Wreck 'Em," will let you keep swinging until you hit, while "Exhauster," will make them run out of energy first if they try blocking you.
Recommended build: Boxing Punch / Closeline / Triple Punch / Wreck'Em / Exhauster
Recommended train: Push stamina like it's your new primary stat
