Early game is very difficult to manage. It takes a bit of practice to do so. Give it time :)

Agi build, then?

Work for 1 shift and make $50, then go to the market and buy 2 meats, eat one and then sleep.

Try to recover about 50% to 60% of your energy and then wake up and eat the other meat.

Go to the gym and pay the $10 entry fee. Use the small punch bag as much as you can and while you wait the refresh time for it, do some rope and running machine. Repeat until you get exhausted.

Fight an ultimate fight match and get some money $20 if you lose, $40 if you win and then repeat the whole process from the start.

Later on you have more chances to make money and the prizes for the matches are MUCH better, especially the ultimate league.

Also, meat Roy and his Sister, talk to her, do the flower quest and fall in love for her, it makes you lose less energy and feel less hunger.

Don't forget to get all XP bonus skills for agi (rice eater)

By doing all that you can easily grind it to 20+ until the end of the game, but yeah, the stats decay is still a pain, because eventhough you can compensate that with a good strategy, it's simply not fun because forces a very grindy way of playing, you get enslaved by your daily routine and don't feel like exploring the rest of the game.

Get the abilities that prevent your stats from dropping below 4, 8 or 13.
When TDF comes out, PLEASE let us turn off stat decay.
I was given a copy when the game first came out to play on my youtube channel. I did 2 episodes, and then stopped abruptly. I recently came back to figure out why i stopped enjoying it when i had fun recording those first two episodes. and then it hit me harder than a bullet train; STAT DECAY.

Let me say i love games of any difficulty. the mega man franchise is my favorite thing ever. However, something i need to enjoy a game is a sense of progression, especially in an RPG like this. something that makes me quit a game for a while is that feeling of forgetting to save before a tough boss and having to start back at a different point when i die. With the stat decay, that feeling is CONSTANT. i feel like it's impossible to get past the first hour or so because the game just feels pointless with stat decay. you have to eat, sleep, keep your happiness up, work for cash, and ALL of this stuff, which on it's own doesn't give you the time to train for the meat of the game, the fights. When doing an LP, i want it to be fact paced and interesting to the viewer, meaning i need to train enough for the fight, but not to the point of an hour-long training session. with stat decay, this is near impossible to do. i know it would make the game easier, but i like the lore so much i don't care. I know it would make 9-or-so upgrades that disable stat decay up to x level useless, but 1. They still unlock other upgrades, and 2. this is essentially being told to spend rare items in exchange for being able to keep your experience. you can even disable secret fight and wintime-related achievements for all i care. i just want to have a good time playing the game, and stat decay is the ONLY thing preventing that.

Copying this thread of mine here.

A small trick I use to reduce the decay as much as possible.
If you notice you can barely get a new point before the day ends, try to stop the workout right before you have enough exp to gain a new stat point. Because the higher the stat, the more decay you get.
This way you have less exp to make up the next day and still reach your next stat increase with minimal time invested.
The only time I do go for the increase is if I want to go fight during the last hour of the day.

The stat decay is pretty ridiculous, its turning this game into a chore.

This. I did just 1 playthrough because even if I want to try other builds I am not going through this bs of losing my gains every day. Its damn annoying, especially during mid-end game where you are losing more than you are gaining even when all you do is just training since you have lots of money and you don't have to go to work.

Confirming again.
I wanted to do a few episodes of The Dark Fist, for my youtube channel. I tried to beat bill, but before i could my stats decayed and i lost. same happened with ultimate fights, meaning i broke my arm and was pretty much screwed for a LONG TIME. i took the advice and bought muscle memory. It does not help when you can't raise your stat PAST that number.

Already over it after 5 hours played. Not fun to me at all. Way too grindy. Would refund if I could.

Having to spend 80% of my time to maintain stats makes the 20% of the time I spend improving them less satisfying.
Don Vincenzoo 57 Mar 10, 2016 @ 11:05am
i stop playing cause of the lost which is too much ........ i am already in the manor for info
Talon Mar 10, 2016 @ 4:50pm
Have to agree - the decay is a chore, it's simply too high, and seems to be a very obvious attempt to 'stretch' the content of the game longer, because you're always fighting to get your stats high enough to get anywhere.

Also, way to make me feel like i'm wasting my time if I lose a ton of progress constantly.

... Why doesn't the dev just slow the stat gain way down, and get rid of decay ?

Would refund if I could, a few hours in, and I'm just waiting around for a stat decay change to play it at all anymore.

Have turned away several people from buying this game because of stat decay, so I guess if the dev wants to stick to his guns, he can live with those lost sales.

*shrugs*

Meh, i dont really mind the decay just finished my first playthroug ended up with 15/10/11 Bear build. Takes a while to get used to and find a good routine for yourself. When u get to mid/end game it gets really easy to maintain. Just have to pull through. I enjoyed myself enough not to care much about the early stat decay because thats normal progress.. It should be a bit hard in the early game else the whole game would be to easy. But thats just my opinion. Ended my playthrough in 147 days btw. Now starting on my second playthrough gonna do a tiger build now
