It's essentially a strategy/sim game for all intents and purposes. You need resource management and planning. If you're going stamina broke, then that means your stats and/or moves are wrong. The more strength you have, the more stamina each move costs to use. You should check the stamina cost on a move and make sure not to load up your bar with high stam moves. You can also build your stamina so you can endure longer. Consider a move like Skip Turns to converse stamina when you need it. But ultimately, I'd recommend building Stamina a lot more than Attack if you have issues with drain.
Maybe try to go Way of the Tiger if you're struggling. That's an entirely Agility-based path that allows you to win without strength, thus you don't need to train it and thus won't be expending much in the way of stam for moves.
It is very good to build stam though because it also determines your max HP.
I finish it multiple times and hands down this is the worst Cookie Clicker I had ever played.
I seriously cannot recommend this thrash to any of my friends.
Here is my detailed "adventure" with this game if anyone is interested.

I hope they will improve it with a sequel they are working on. But BOY they have a lot of work to do because this is one is a huge stinker.
Ok, i disagree. I like it. It's about preference, it's not objectively a bad game.
Just saying it over and over doesn't make it more right, you know. It's a fairly simple game, and all it's really about is optimizing your daily loop to fit in all the activities in a day that you need to progress. If you don't like that concept, it's not gonna be fun. If you do, it's a good time. It's that simple.
How much girnd and randomness there is in the game is highly dependent on how you level and kit your character as well. Use a bad set of skills and spread your levels poorly? Gonna be alost impossible to progress. Follow the tips the game gives you at the very start? Not that much grind/RNG.
