Forced to Fist in the Dark of night...
I would REALLY appreciate it if the game didn't force me to fight the Dark Fist missions.
I had set up Love and Roy so that I could get as much out of the Gym as I could and I go to the house to fill up on Steak and BOOM
Forced side quest.

It's part of the game's balance, that if you are improvising when you visit your home then you will be caught off-guard by some fights and forced to engage them while not properly healed or trained, or choose between letting time elapse or spending money to commute there in a hurry. Really, when those fights trigger has some sort of process that has to do with how many days have passed since you last advanced the plot in some way, and/or how many times you've visited home since then. I've gotten all of the achievements except the 100 day one, simply because I always lose a critical fight when I rush it too much, which is hard to avoid when you're trying to speedrun organically. Advanced players are able to factor in every free meal and every commute to achieve enough power early on to trash everything that comes your way in the first 20 days, which sets you up for success moving forward in terms of having the right skills and enough time and money to train.

If like me, you prefer to manage your character intuitively and without using guides or micro planning, it just makes your resource management a little stricter and more complicated - you have to build skills and resources that will let you prepare for a fight on short notice, and train your stats to where you can take care of yourself even on a bad day.
