WHY WHEN YOU GOT TV WAKFU AND GAME WAKFU????????????
Heh, it's actually more like the opposite: most people wouldn't consider the Wakfu series an anime simply because they're not japanese (not that I really care about the whole "avatar/wakfu is not an anime" thing), and will consider this special an anime even if it doesn't look like so because japaneses worked on it.
About the last part, it doesn't look like a normal anime because the character designer was Masaaki Yuasa, a director/animator/etc. with a very personal style. He has worked in some animes with that peculiar style and even directed a chapter of Adventure Time.

But then again, if it gets more people to see it then I support it.
