Probably not going to happen for this game, ever. As you may have noticed I'm not the best artist in the world. It would take me a long time to get them right. And quite frankly, although I am extremely proud of this product and the support from a small community who love this game, it just was not as popular as I had hoped for. I'm not sure it will be worth the time I'd have to put in at this point.

There are millions of people, who only buy games, because of the trading cards, they see on the store page, and you will get a cut of every card sale in the steam market, maybe this helps you thinking about it again ;)

From what I've read at least, not all devs make up new artwork for the cards/backgrounds- they use stuff they already had making the game.

5 cards- use a picture of the main character, some main locales or a weapon or something, profile backgrounds- some are all black with an image on one side -personally I'm not crazy about those but some are. Emoticons- character head, enemy, a weapon. Just some ideas.

It would be worth it for sure. You get a cut from every card/emoticon sold. Some people just buy cards and not the game itself just to level up.

Hey dev, not sure if youre gonna see this but i bought your game during the "robot sale" recently, completed the game and have been reading some threads about the game here and there.

I just wanted to say I think this game is great but reading some of your replies on this thread i get the feeling that since the game sales are low you may feel bad and/or discouraged from supporting this game or maybe making another one. Let me just say this, I know how you feel, I really do, believe me. Except my "thing" was recording my own songs and getting out to the public. in my case I know i dont sing very well at all but i like to do what i do, plus having my music just on amazon, itunes etc just feels neat to me. However my sales are quite frankly abysmal....but that doesnt stop me from making more music because its what i like to do.

Watching the "credits" in your game i cant believe you did everything. Man, i would kill to be able to program a game. I would love to create my own game but ive tried over and over and my brain is just like, "nope" lol.

What Im trying to say is that youre good and what you do and you shouldnt let this keep you from continuing on making/supporting games. I just wanted to show my support and hope that you'll take good advice from a random person on the internet and keep on truckin'!!!!! lol.

Like the others have said though- if you do decide to put in trading cards you DO get a cut of every one sold. Im not savvy in making them but ive sold a ton and ive seen quite a few that looked like straight sprite rips from the game. That, and some people wont even buy a game if there arent trading cards included. Thats a different story though. :)

Oh yes, please make a sequel to RES. :) I cant wait for *that* ending too lol.
